The Lačnov Canyon is a picturesque gorge in the northeastern part of Branisko between the villages of Lipovce and Lačnov, which was excavated by the Lačnov brook. The Lačnov canyon has steep slopes and high walls with bizarre rock formations. One of the most famous is Kamenná Baba, whose shape resembles a woman with a child in her arms. Legend has it that this is an evil stepmother who wanted to throw her stepchild off a rock, but before she could do so, she petrified. Other interesting formations include the Moses' Column, 60 m high, and the Vrátnica rock window.
