Description

Nosal is a mountain peak in the Western Tatras, located at an altitude of 1206 m above sea level, above Kuźnice, between the Bystra Valley and the Olczyska Valley. The name of the mountain comes from the shape of the nose-like rocks on the northwest side. It offers a beautiful panorama of the Tatra peaks and Zakopane. The crossing of the entire ridge of Nosal takes only 1.5 hours. This hill is commonly associated with the legendary „K” route – the most difficult ski run in Poland (unfortunately closed for several seasons). In 1974, the Men's Alpine Ski World Cup was played here. Nosal was also very popular with mountaineers, and in its western walls, falling down to the Bystra Valley, there are about 30 climbing routes, which are currently not accessible. In the north-west slope of Nosal there is also the cave „Dziura pod Nosalem”, inaccessible to tourists.
